Can Vulkan utilize both AMD and Nvidia GPUs at the same time?
I've been looking online but i just cant seem to find any benchmarks or straight answers. IF you could point me to some benchmarks i would greatly appreciate it. All google shows up is that Vulkan supports multi GPU and thats it, no specifics.

Solution
Vulkan is the successor to opengl and an alternative api to directx. Both api's support multi gpu but will depend on the game if its been designed for it.

Multi gpu, Amd crossfire or Nvidia sli is when using multiple identical cards together using a bridge connector. The motherboard must support either technologies.

Using two different gpu brands and models might be possible in future but not presently.

I see, i wasn't sure on the terminology. Me assuming that multi GPU meant the same as DX12's ability to use Completely different GPUs. So will it be possible in the future if not already for Vulkan to inehrit that ability from DX12?

Possibly. Dx12 as you're aware has that capability, just need gpu brands to play nice and allow it and game devs to support it. Sli/xfire support is becoming less and less and doesnt help when consoles is the main focus.

My guess with the arrival of pcie 4 & 5, might allow two different cards cooperate without a bridge connector and not be limited.

I would never of expected that a new gen of PCIe would bring support for mix and matching of cards. But im not an expect in such fields so its not like i would of expected it. Cant say im not surprised though. 😀
