Can we connect to the internet using a pc from the lan port of a cable modem?

Basically as the title asks, I wanted to know if it’s possible for consoles and pc’s to connect to the internet directly from a cable modem

OF COURSE.

Your PC will get a public IP, the only firewall between you and the bad-bad Internet is your Windows firewall. No other device will have access to Internet.

Yup. If you can connect wifi router and cable router you can same with pc and cable router.

It will work, just be aware that some cable or DSL modems require you to power cycle the modem every time you change the device which is plugged into its LAN port.

If you wish to plug multiple devices into the modem, you need a router plugged into the modem. A switch will not work.
