Can we mark certain sectors of the disk as unusuable? the bad sectors

I am scanning my harddisk and it has only 3 bad sectors

I want to mark them as unusable so the harddisk would not read write there

The disk's warranty is expired so no way to get it replaced

If you use the Command form and specify the syntax-
chkdsk c: /r
the /r switch will find and fix errors and make sure any sector it can't fix doesn't get used again.

You dont need to mark bad sectors manually. Hard disks have a pool of spare, good sectors. When bad sectors are found they are automatically flagged and replaced by spare, good ones. All this is invisible to the user.

Hi there MonsterMMORPG,

Make sure that your don't keep important data stored on the drive.
Bad sectors would eventually continue to appear, until the drive fails.

Apart from that, I would also say that you can run chkdsk on the drive.
