Hello , everyone.
I want to know , now I'm using a single display port which i plugged into my monitor , but if it would be safe to close or input the plastic type sockets which comes with the graphic card for the ports which I'm not using . Is it safe to plug them when I'm gaming or other use.. It will be safe or not for other ports like HDMI & Display Port.

Solution
Dear Friend ,
Thank you very much for your reply.

Sorry for my poor explanation , but you understand very well what I want to explain in my thread.

Yes, I'm talking about the plastic type sockets comes along with the new GPU , I understand it that it prevents the dust .

Will it be safe to plug them ON with the plastic type socket , when I'm not using other ports ?

Will it be melt inside it when GPU under heavy load ?

Thank You
It will be perfectly fine. Source: me. The last 3 GPUs I owned including the one I use while typing this, have the plastic caps (or however they're called) in the ports.
It was kind of hard to understand what you're trying to say, but I suppose you're referring to the plastic covers that come with the GPU when it's new.

Yes, you can leave those on or put them back when you're not using the ports. They protect them from dust build up and do not overheat when the GPU is under heavy load.

Those caps do not need to be installed if you are concerned about that. There is no reason to take them out either, it will be fine either way. The edge of the GPU does not, and cannot, get hot enough to melt the plastic, because the display cables themselves are coated in plastic. I personally leave the ones I am not using installed, because I prefer to keep the original boxes/parts if possible, and it is a convenient place to leave them.
