Hello

I'm having a Asus K53SV Motherboard with max supported i7 2670QM Processor and both combination can support RAM max frequency of 1333MHz and max Memory of 8GB.

Now, can I use Corsair DDR3 4GB PC3 12800 CMSX4GX3M1A1600C9 RAM which has 1600MHz instead of supported PC3 10600S 1333MHz?

Please shed some insight.

Thank you

1600MHz id th maximum speed tested for this RAM model. But is has a SPD speed of 1333 MHZ

So it "should" default to 1333 MHz on your computer.

Perhaps.
Ram has a default base speed that allows you to get into the bios to select a higher speed.
From that point of view, you should be ok.
The ram would simply work at it's base speed.

But, if you are trying to add ram to a laptop, there may be a compatibility issue.
Ram not from the same kit may be incompatible.
