I was messing with my water cooling loop last night and apperantly i dropped water on my psu. I had no idead i had wet it. So i flipped the switch on the back to run the pump. Almost instantly the psu poped the breaker for the whole house. I had to turn of the psu before i can turn the breaker back on. Could this have potentially damaged my whole system??

Wait until you're sure it's completely dry before powering it up again. Maybe use a hair dryer or something until you're positive it's bone dry.

If you're lucky the water just shorted the mains and house breakers did their jobs. If the short happened near the mains input, rather than somewhere deep in the guts of the PSU, you might just be fine once it dries out.

But for sure, water in a PSU can short anything which is potentially real bad and can, absolutely, take other system components out with it.

Dry it out... try it out... good luck!

I just dried it of with a hair dryer. I used a bottle if canned air to see if i can get any water to come out. It looked dry...hooked it up didnt blow the breaker but nothing powered on...guess I'm gonna need a new psu hope thats all i need...

Ok so i was able to borrow a psu and test it...the pc powers on i wasnt able to boot it due to bot being able to hook up my water pump...i ordered a new psu so when it gets here hopefully it boots fune
