I plan on burning some blu ray m discs, I dont want to have to use special software unless i have to. I do not plan on making blu ray movies or anything i'm just storing files on them. here's the drive I ordered and the disks I'm going to use. https://www.newegg.com/lg-wh14ns40-internal-blu-ray-burner/p/N82E16827136250?Item=N82E16827136250

also can windows 10 read blu rays natively with no software(not talking about watching movies, just reading and copying files).

Solution
You will need an app to watch & burn them, its not part of win 10.

Windows 10 does support data disk burning out of box. Those are not different between CD/DVD/BD drives. Many DVD/BD players does support video file playing from data drives. So it is no surprise that DVD/BD authoring software is not included in OS and should not be. You can find such software from Internet - even free one.

shame drive doesn't seem to come with one. Used to include a disk.

Not required nowadays when user can choose and download app which he/she see to fit.

I could care less about playing blu ray movies, im just using blu rays because the blu ray m discs have much larger capacity's and normal dvds and im archiving data. so when i put the blu ray in my pc, windows will be able to read it no problem? and can I put an iso on a blu ray dvd and boot off of it?

Disk drives already are a thing from past. I too still have internal 5.25" DVD writer from my previous system. Kept it only because didn't wanted to purchase external USB DVD writer if I would need to read or write a disc.
yea, They will just be backups/archives I will use hard drives/ssds normally. I will also back up on hhds the disks will be just in case.

I can't find anything about reading files off them, its likely same deal.
a lot of the other ones include disks but this one was cheaper so I got it and planned on getting free software if I needed it.
