Can windows vista system files be used from emachines restore disk to reformat d

Hello,
A friend of mine was given a dell computer with vista already on the system but because of problems with the system we're unable access the system restore. so we want to know if we can use the system restore disk from my emachines to restore the system on thier dell?

No, you can't use an eMachines disk on a Dell. You need a Dell disk.

ty crumpy, but you are wrong it can be used if you also have driver geniuse program to update drivers I fixed thier computer doing it that way. the vista program is still the same just have to load driver program and update drivers to correct any hardware issues.
