Hello, Please I want to upgrade my graphics card. Currently My pc is running ryzen 3 1200 (although I plan to upgrade to ryzen 7 1700 later this year), two 8gb Ram making it 16gb and RX 570 4GB graphics card and 1tb HDD, although I intend to add a second one too. I want to upgrade the card to RX 580 8GB. But on Amd site I'm seeing the recommended PSU to be 500w. and the power draw of rx 580 is like 180w. My Fear is just that will the 460 watts PSU in Inspiron 5675 be able to run the card with optimum performance? The card I intend to use has an 8 pin and 6 pin connector, but that's not an issue since the PSU is equipped with such. Please I just need to be sure before I run the system with an XFX rx 580 8gb. Or is it better I opt for GTX 1060 6GB? Although I prefer to use RX 580 for future proofing.

Thanks. I'll be waiting for your urgent and candid reply.

It should work as long as you have a 6 or 8 pin power connector. But that would be cutting it very close, a GTX 1060 draws less power than an RX 580 but has similar performance.

Edit: scratch the first sentence, buy a new PSU. It will also help with future proofing.

No it can't , the PSU is lacking the connetions the card needs and adapters are a bad idea on poor PSU's.
I guess the PSU has has the necessary connections requirements. The PSU has 6+2 8 pin and 6 pin connector. So I believe it should be able to power it. I'm not just sure if I'll get optimum performance. Also some inspiron 5675 shipped with rx 580 8GB with the same PSU. but there are reference cards not retail cards. Thanks for your reply. Really appreciate
