can you download add on on steam for disc

Hello say if I buy a pc game and its on disc, can I download add on on steam even if the game is on disc

Yes, you pop disk in, load up steam, and let disk load. You account should recognise disk and let you put in a code. Orom there you will never need disk again. (or code)

Well what if I dont want to download on steam in not a big downloading fan I like disc can I do it without installing it

No, you have to install it, but you can do that off the disk, so it will take 1/6 the time if you have internet like mine. Only consloes offer the feature to boot game off disk.
