Can you get a kettle lead with the wire on the opposite side?

Hello,

I've just built a media server using a passive cooled PSU but the case i'm using has the PSU facing downwards to the floor and ive got to have the PSU this way round as the vent is facing the correct way currently.

Is it possible to get a right angle kettle lead where the wire comes off the opposite side. At the moment the wire goes down to where the feet of the case are so it doesn't quite fit in. I'm having to use a standard straight kettle lead at the moment but the wire is too long so the case can't stand up properly.

Only thing i can think of doing is raising the feet but don't really want to do that if possible.

Sorry i assumed Kettle lead was the common term for a PC Power cord?

Anyway, The case is a BitFenix Phenom mATX.

The PSU is a Seasonic 460W Platinum Fanless.

I managed to take the PSU out, Plug a right angle cord in and squeeze it back in but the corn is really tight on the wire, Is it safe for it to be like this? I'm using it at a server so will be on for 15+ hours daily.

Ok thanks for that info, Ive always searched for them using the term Kettle Lead.

Can you suggest any other solutions to get abit of slack, Do they make wires that come out on the other side of the connector? I can't seem to find any.

Well, looking at the picts in this review they have done the same on the install as you have. I would wonder thou, why run the kettle wire back INSIDE the case? I would think just routing in OUT under the chassis and then plugging it straight into the wall... if the chassis feet are tall enough.

OR, you could replace those Short screws holding the PSU in place with longer ones. AND put a couple white nylon washer between the PSU & chassis (to take up that extra length). Only thing I'd want to do is Not Pinch that cord too tightly between chassis and PSU as that could cut thru the insulation and short things out.

Their connector is horizontal though mine is vertical so mine hits the side of the case.

The cord was already pre-installed inside the case, There was an extension cable inside the case to the back so you can still plug the cord in at the back.

Also as for raising the PSU there is literally no room above the PSU already, Only thing i can do is raise the feet which i might just do as i'm not that happy with the wire being bent over like it is.
