Why do you require a graphics card with DDR2 ?

Most likely his motherboard only takes DDR2 memory so he thinks that means VRAM as well.

A graphics card is not limited to the same type of memory used on the motherboard. For gaming, you want a graphics card that has GDDR5 on it, regardless of what the motherboard uses. well i would suggest to to go for a gddr5 gpu but as u r asking....
i woul say xfx hd 4650 1gb.....is good in ddr2...i have run it for few years and it could run games upto assassin creed 3 with a little lag..which is not very irritating....
but now i have upgraded...if u really want a ddr2 gpu go for hd 4650..
or i would recommend to go for a ggdr5 gpu....which is far better than a ddr2 gpu..
