can you give your opinion guys about these power supplies i plan to buy

for you guys which is better FSP AURUM GOLD 600 or Antec earthwatts 650w platinum? here are the specs i plan to buy
cpu: core i5 4690k
gpu: msi r9 270 or msi r9 280
motherboard:msi z97 gaming 3 or
asus maximus vii ranger or gene
memory: 8gb(2 x 4gb) kingston fury
hard disk: seagate 1tb hdd/sdd hybrid

take note that the fsp aurum's price is £93.99($156.82) and the antec's price is £85.31($142.34)

600w is appropriate for even the R9-280.
I don't think you will save enough to ever recoup any price premium for gold or platinum rating.
Either would be ok, but I suspect there are some better values out there.

yeah you are right but i want to save my electricity bill..and i will do only a mild overclocking

Most of the power usage comes from the graphics cards. The R9 cards are overclocked and use more energy than their equivalent performing nvidia counterparts. You would save more energy by using a GTX760.

A psu will use only the wattage demanded of it, regardless of it's max capability. You are ok with 600-650w. Even better, a psu will be most efficient when operating in the middle third of it's range.

One good argument for gold rating is quieter operation. I use a Seasonic X750 and the fan never even turns on.

ok dude but which power supply will you recommend me(from the suggestion above)? i quite in trouble finding the seasonic PSU. common in my area is silverstone,coolermaster,fsp,antec and corsair.
yeah i like nvidia for its energy efficient card...but r9 280 is still more powerful yet bad for huge wattage requirement. so u suggest a 760...which is better r9 280 3 gb or 760 4 gb?

i saw also the 2gb version of 760...for sure that the nvidia have efficient power usage than amd...but i have to research if the 760 could ultra battlefield 3 or 4,crysis 3 with no problems, i heard that the watch dogs uses 3 gb of vram in ultra settings

how did you know about the pcx website? this PSU is definitely available...i gotta ask getting gold or platinum power supply really save electricity bill in a long run or bronze is enough?

It saves very little , that's a very good power supply made by SEASONIC.

The real difference between gold and bronze lies in the power ouput. Bronze is stable and usable for the majority of builds, gold is cleaner power, and is mainly for those who want to push the limits of OC and need the best stability they can get.

I'm not that surprised at SR-71 knowing about the website. I'd not even be surprised that when Gene Roddenberry needed a model for Commander Data, if they had picked SR-71. What that mod knows about stuff is staggering, what he pulls outta the web is incredible, and he always manages to come up with the absolute best instructional pics of anyone I've ever seen. i just do mild overclocking dude thanks for the clarification...i just thought only getting the gold or platinum in order to save electric bill in a long run...electric bill in my country is a bit expensive
