Does the i5-7500 cost very much more? It would be better, not by a lot but still better. Then look at a B250 motherboard.
I would also get 2x4GB RAM so it could run in dual-channel. 2400MHz if you go with the B250 board.
I'm not familiar with the Corsair CV650, do you have a link to it?

I really suggest going the Ryzen route. A R5 1600 would be much better than that i5 6500 in the long run, 6 cores and 12 threads. Its also better in the long run plus a b350 motherboard has overclocking capabilities with the 1600 unlike the locked i5. Everything else should be fine.
