I'm in the market for a new monitor to upgrade my 24" FHD Samsung CRG5. I am on a limited budget and I have to buy one locally, and the local options aren't many. I have narrowed down my choices to these (from least to most expensive):

1. Acer Nitro VG270M3bmiipx Gaming Monitor 27″ IPS Full HD 180Hz
2. SAMSUNG C27G55TQWM 27Inch Odyssey G5 Curved VA 144HZ 1MS WQHD or 32 inch (same one)
3. Philips Evnia 27M1N3200Z/89 27INCH – 165HZ - IPS
4. Lenovo G27q-30 27 QHD Gaming Monitor - VA - 165HZ
5. BENQ 27 FHD IPS 165HZ 1MS EX2710S
6. AOC 32 INCH CQ32G3SE QHD VA 165HZ 1MS
7. LG Ultra Gear 32 Inch QHD Gaming Monitor, 165Hz - 32GN650-B

So these are the options available right now. I don't know a lot about monitors and I'm not very into color accuracy and all of that, I just need a monitor that is bigger and looks nicer. I really want QHD instead of FHD, but I keep reading about the major issue of "ghosting" with VA panels as opposed to IPS ones, and I cannot for the life of me find a QHD monitor with IPS panel locally. I'm leaning towards the Samsung mainly because it's widely available and has a bunch of service centers here if anything goes wrong, and as I mentioned I don't really know how ghosting would affect every-day use.

Note: I used to game a lot but not anymore, I now do little to no gaming. My PC use is mostly web browsing, office, videos, and some light photo & video editing. So would the ghosting still be a major issue in my use-case?

Any thoughts and advice are appreciated.

If you can't see the candidates operating in person, then the next best thing is to read reviews on rtings.com
I would not focus on the 165hz panel speed that appears mostly on va panels.
IPS panels will usually give you a better image.
120hz is generally ok.

And... plan to keep your 24" monitor as a side monitor.

Thanks for your reply. I already use a 32" Samsung Smart TV as a side monitor but I'll probably replace it with my old 24" monitor instead, I'll see how it goes after I buy the new one. The issue that I want QHD rather than 1080p, and I can't really find any IPS 1440p displays available locally, except a couple of models that are way too expensive for me.

I'm leaning towards these: MSI 27 Inch Optix MAG272CQR 2K or Lenovo G27q-30 27 QHD
Also as I mentioned, the Samsung Odyssey G5 is the most common one here and is quite cheap compared to all the other models, including the 32" version of it. Do you reckon it'd be similar to the 2 I mentioned above while saving more money?

And also one more thing, am I wrong in thinking that QHD will be a step-up in terms of media & productivity work? Is web browsing, writing, and editing better on a standard 1080p IPS display instead?

Exactly why you should try out the options yourself if you can.
My thought is that size matters. Higher resolution monitors will have smaller text.

A monitor is a long term investment.
Bust your budget if need be to buy the very best you can afford.

Thanks again! I wish I could, but the only ones on display were monitors I wasn't interested in. I will decide between the LG Ultra 32", Odyssey G5 27" / 32", and Lenovo G27q-30 eventually lol
