Hello, how are you?
With the release of the X99 platform, I have been reading some things that I don't really understand...
I have been reading quite a bit about pciE lanes on the CPU's and how that effect multi-gpu performance and all...
But then, I went to Ark intel and saw that the i7-4790k only has 16 pciE lanes.
Well, here is what I don't understand...
A modern graphics card, like the GTX 780 ti is pcie 3.0 x16.
Does that mean that if I have a system based on a 1150 haswell and I install a GTX 780 ti, that's it for all the pcie?
I mean, since the CPU has 16 lanes and the graphics card takes 16 lanes, I cannot use a m.2 pcie SSD, a pcie soundcard, a pcie wireless card? Even thought the board has the physical pcie slots, the CPU won't have any more lanes for the other devices?
Is this how it works?
I am probably saying some big nonsenses here, so please enlighten me :)

Thanks and cheers!
