Seems one of these boards about what this LTT video was made.

So far believed that I live in a poor country. Didn't expected kiwi's being so poor that they are lucky to have any Chinese garbage they can get. Nothing personal. I admit Chinese found an ingenious way how to sell e-waste with profit.

About board itself... yes, you will need a PSU with 8-PIN connector. Possibly split one. And separate GPU. Then this board may even work.

When you say "split one", you mean using 2 4 pins if i dont have 1 8 pin?

Most PSUs come with at least one connector to provide aux power to the motherboard (in addition to the much larger 20/24-pin primary power connector). Older units have a single 1x4 pin connector, while more modern PSUs will have a 2x4 pin (for 8-pins total) that can be "split" to work with motherboards that only have a 4-pin connection. By the way, the 8-pin (usually 6+2-pin) PCIe power connector for GPUs is a completely different connection and should not be forced into a motherboard connection.

UPDATE!

Managed to get to the BIOS screen.

Will fiddle around with trying to get windows on it soon.

Thank you guys who helped.

So, what was the problem? I have no idea.

Even now, sometimes it will go for a second, then reboot all ok.

At least your effort in getting e-waste phoenix into life succeeded. Congratulations! Monitor in YouTube video gave me nostalgic memories about 2 decades old past though :)

Oh, i have a Sinclair Spectrum in the attic!

The monitor is good for what i use it for, it is just hooked up to my shuttle pc with ispy and 2 webcams.

Ok Ok I see now. And you are using a graphics card right? Otherwise im not sure whats wrong. I guess you could clear the cmos by removing the cmos battery for a few minutes but I dont think that would help... I'm sorry and I know this must be very annoying let alone stressful but Dealing with pc's can often be that way often when your working with older parts, I had a plathora of issues with my xeon E3 1241 V3 system and eventully it just turned out to be a faulty motherboard after I waisted $200 on other components then had to deal with trying to send back that faulty motherboard and the ebay seller was being so bs about it. Issues often come down to the motherboard and there is no way to know unless you text your components in a working system.

This is where i am at so far. please help.

You can't boot a Windows 10 from another system on the new system. You have to reinstall Windows 10 on the boot drive again.

Your already installed Windows 10 on that HDD has drivers used on another motherboard. Since the hardware is not the same booting to that OS can work or not and in your case it doesn't.

Thank you.

But, i did make a windows 10 boot USB drive and tried to install windows from that but it got to a certain stage and my computer died and restarted itself.

Okay I see the video, good job so far. If you want to do a quick visual check on the motherboard (Bulging capasitors, scratches, missing chunks, bent pins or anything unusial) please let us know. Also if you dropped any screws into the case they can cause the motherboard to short. Is your psu set to the right country? If your in Australia like myself you need it set to take 240V some psu's allow you to change that setting between country's. The best next step is to try a more powerful known brand psu, for example a 450W Corsair or Thermal take psu would do fine and provide your system with cleaner power. I made a video of a few things you can do- Thw kiwi - YouTube Let me know how you go

Can you give me any more advice, please?

here is where i am at.

Don't give up, Mr. Kiwi. Nemesia had it when he or she said about Windows 10 if you try with 7.

Give 10 another shot after a format..

Thank you. I did try again.

I then used a different hard drive, and i THINK i have installed Windows 7 on it ok.

It did freeze up, so i will see if it works ok tomorrow, then i will try a different hard drive with windows 10
