I recently got a monitor, and had the DisplayPort cable, and I plugged it in but wasn’t sure if it was fully in or not so pushed it in firmly a couple times, I’m just worried I may have pushed too hard or something, am I worrying for nothing?

Solution
Yes you can.

Especially if there is some problem with the plug, the port, or the orientation.

The connections can be and often are a bit tight with respect to new components.

Making the connection sometimes becomes more of a matter of feel and sense than force.

If the cable is plugged in and all is working - then the connections should be okay.
