Can you plug Case fan to CPU pins?

so i ran out of the case fan labled pins on the mobo: Systemfan#1-3 taken. But i have 2 cpufan#1-2, i have one plugged in and i have the last remaining cpufan2. Can i just plug in a system fan to it? or should i just get a splitter cable for the system fan plugs.

can plug a system fan into cpu opt but if you have a fan profile set for cpu header then cpu opt will follow it depending on your motherboard/bios

that is if the cpu fan speeds up/slows down the cpu opt will also

oh, so best case is to just get a splitter? i dont want the case fan to be changing depending cpu.

yes unless your bios allows a separate fan profile for cpu opt
