Question Can you quickly duplicate RAM to each bank of RAM (in a dual-socket motherboard)?

), circa 5 min., Linus talks about the use of NUMA in dual-socket motherboards. The only problem is that, especially seen during Y-Cruncher (circa 6 min.), both CPUs are working on the same block of data, and so both processors are fighting over it.
But what would happen if the RAM was duplicated? What I mean is that you duplicate whatever content is in the bank of RAM for CPU1 and put it in the bank of RAM for CPU2 (circa. 5:15). Despite making you have 1/2 as much RAM, couldn't that be used to solve problems where both CPUs are working on the same data?
