Can you please Rate/ give some tips on a PC im going to build or some things that aren't going to work.

I want to make it Cheaper but don't know how to, without losing performance by a lot.
Are there any changes i need to make?
I also don't know too much about thermal paste does it come with the cooler or already applied?

sorry if im asking too much but i need a keyboard as well do you have any suggestions on any decent keyboards that dont go for that much money. I also noticed that you dont include a cooler is the cooler that it comes with good.Can the system handle some games(maybe fortnite, Minecraft, CSGO) , streaming, and maybe a bit of editing. The AMD stock cooler is pretty good even for medium overclocking. It should be able to handle everything you have mentioned above.

Windows is free without activation key and you should get all the security updates as they are released. There are some cosmetic limitations like watermark and wallpaper which should not cause any performance issue. For all the details, read the "Cosmetic Limitations" section in that article.

@Hellfire13 , probably the only user I'd blindly make a build from.

Although, If you don't mind manually overclocking then I'd go 1600 or 2600 with a B450 board. Doing this saves a bit of cash for a better GPU which I'd go 1660 as the minimum. For the 3600 you can actually go B450 MSI and use the flashback program to update the MB without the CPU.

looking at it quickly, you can use the cpu cooler that comes with it and probably find a cheaper case. and how good do you want your games to run? because you can get 1080p 60 fps on medium-high settings on most games for a lot cheaper than that.

this PC is a bit like the one you made but a big change i did was i put a 1660 and different monitor. Do you recommend a rx 590 instead? because im not too familar with amd graphics cards. I also changes the monitor still has a 75 hertz but a bit different, i changed the monitor because i found more 75 hertz monitors with a cheaper price so i went with that one.
Il be making it in a week or so just want to clarify everything first. Does the rx 590 defeat 1660 in price per performance?
I also added 1tb storage(don't know if this is really needed please let me know if getting a good ssd instead is worth the price.
Let me know if this pc isn't worth it and just to go with the one you recomended me

Is a full ATX board necessary? Could a little bit be saved by going with a MicroATX board?

EDIT: if you're stepping down to a FreeSync monitor that maxes out at 75Hz, then I'd save $20 and go with:

Sapphire makes some of the best custom AMD cards, and the Nitro SE+ cooler is excellent. Yes, it's more power-hungry than a 1660, and performs slightly less than the 1660, but at 1920x1080 @ 75Hz max, it's more than up to the job.

Also, do NOT go with the old S12II design Seasonic. Good for their day, but outdated by today's standards. If you're going with a Seasonic, go with a 550W or maybe 650W FOCUS model.


Finally, you may be able to save a bit more by stepping down from a 3600 to a 2600X. Slightly slower, but comes with a beefier cooler, and I think the 2600X is still more than up to the task.

I think he is going with the original build which has a 512gb SSD. That should be enough for a couple of months if he doesnt want to add a HDD right away.

For most typical home use and gaming use cases, the NVMe doesn't offer any serious performance advantage. The only advantages are space savings, and no cables needed for the drive.

Certain specific workloads can take advantage of the NVMe's increased speeds, but that's a very narrow use case.

A SATA SSD is just fine.


EDIT: However, at this moment, Newegg has the 1TB Intel 660p SSD NVMe for $95. That's only $32 extra over the one you chose, but doubles the capacity.

If it doesn't break the budget, that's well worth considering.

EDIT PART 2: The 512GB version of the 660p is currently $60. NVMe, yet slightly cheaper than the SATA 2.5" Kingston you listed, and with very slightly more capacity. I would go with this if the 1TB model is too expensive.
