Hello, guys. A fellow user from Tom's Hardware forums advised me against having my current PSU for the following build:

CPU:Intel Core i7-4790K
MOBO:Gigabyte ga-z97mx Gaming 5 (Full ATX version)
GPU:Gtx 980 Gygabyte Gaming 1
Noctua Ventilador NH-D14, S-1366, 1200RPM
RAM: Ddr3 Kingston Hyperx Fury 8gb 1866mhz Pc
HDD: Western Digital Caviar Blue 3.5'', 1TB, SATA III, 6 Gbit/s, 7200RPM, 64MB Cache
SSD: Crucial MX100 128 GB
Power Supply 3: Corsair Pw Rm650 Gold
Case: Nzxt H440

Could you please guide me here? I don't think I will SLI anytime soon, but I will OC a moderately.

Thanks a lot!

Thanks, mate. If I get that one, the 850W that you mention, will my power draw will be higher even without extra components compared to the 650W? Or only when and if I add them?

Thanks

I am not sure about the power draw but I think you will be fine, it has a switch at the back of psu for ECO though. Thing is with 850w you will never have to upgrade because you will have extra power when you later on plan on adding more parts or replacing a part which requires more power. If you go to pcpartpicker website, you can make a list of all your parts and it will show you amount of power consumed for all those parts

Get a seasonic 620 or more with 80gold certification.
Seasonic makes the best psů. In fact they oem for corsair too :)
You won't be disappointed.
By the way, maxwell is not too power hungry, so unless you are going sli, 600+ should be enough
