Hi,

I have an Amper EG-663 (http://es.tinypic.com/r/33crssi/9) with firmware EG663_3.04.00r26APs (Download PDF Handbook) , from Movistar ISP in Spain (Telefonica) and i´m searching for a good alternative.
I have this contract of 300MB of symmetrical fiber optic, with TV and Phone included https://www.movistar.es/particulares/oferta-combinada/fusion/internet-movil-fijo-100mb/ and they installed me an ONT and the router mentioned below.

I have heard that the routers provided by ISPs are quite insecure, low quality and poorly customizable.
Usually I have 4 smartphones connected by wifi (one of them AC capable) and a Smart TV, PC, and TV decoder connected by cable.
Wich option I can try to have an efficient, secure and solid network?

Thanks

But can you recommend one with good quality/price relation? Neither the best nor the worst.

RT-AC56U is $66 after $20 rebate - https://www.amazon.com/RT-AC56U-802-11ac-Dual-Band-wireless-AC1200-AiProtection/dp/B00DES2FQW

I say hop on this while you can. This is the exact one I have, and I am able to pull 250mbps on a wifi connection between rooms. My ISP grants me 300mbps...so I think that's pretty good. Just make sure it's in a central location to maximize things. Of course routers like Netgear's Nighthawk ($300) is powerful, but just a bit pricey for me. I have a 3-bedroom single story home (1087 sq ft)

Thanks for youre recommendation.
The only drawback is that when looking for this model here in Spain, the price goes up to more than 128 - 200 euros, double what you can buy it in the USA.

Im confused about this difference. Any that can buy here on the price you comment?
