Can you remove pre applied thermal paste on liquid coolers and add your own?

I purchased arctic silver for my i7 6700k. I bought the paste then thought about a liquid cooler. The paste is getting shipped. Then I thought I can buy a liquid cooler and get even lower temps. I am getting 65-70 c on my cpu when gaming.I was thinking CORSAIR Hydro Series H50 120mm Quiet Edition Liquid CPU Cooler. Can I just remove the pre applied thermal paste and mount it on with new paste on the cpu? P.S I have a evo 212 cooler right now

Yes, of course, same as with air coolers. May not be any better but you can do it. Do same procedure as with any other type of cooling.
