Is it possible to remove the HDD from any notebook brand that there is currently out? I am asking this question because i have a notebook (which is kinda not functioning at all) and i want to remove the HDD. The problem is that i seem to be unable to remove it. I wish it had any clue of what brand is on it, but it seriously doesn't. So, i am asking you this general question, is it possible to remove the HDD from every single notebook? If you can point out some exceptions it would help me out a lot.

Solution
start from the bottom and take every srew out there is prolly some srews under the palstic too, take out battery if posible, fliip over, lean screen as far back as posible check for any screws there to ,start prying the top and the bottom half apart gently with nails something flat and plastic , if it dosent just come off then you prolly missed a srew somewhere! the next thing you take of will be the ribons between keyboard mouse and motherboard, then you procedd to take the screwes that hold the screen on there prolly like 4 long ones, cut the aluminum tape that is in your way and at his point you should be able to reach the hardrive from there some where.

I have yet to see one where you can't but some are more difficult that others. I once upgraded a Sony Viao that required alot of teardown. I was seriously 3 screws away from removing the motherboard and it too close to an hr just to get the old drive out. On most laptops I can have a hdd out and replaced in a few minutes.

Thank you for answering to my question. Well, as it was stated before my laptop has no freakin label on it of what brand it is. My goverment gave notebooks like mine 3-4 years ago on Junior High School senior students, so i doubt that i can give any info about what brand it is. I have tried again and again to remove the screws of the HDD but it was impossible. I wasn't able to turn any of them even a tiny bit. I used different screwdrivers, i even asked my friends to do the same thing. It's weird because i have removed an HDD before, from a desktop computer, and i had no problems with it. If you could provide another way of removing it, it would be helpful.

Actually i am greek so i don't need google translate. I am currently doing stuff so thanks for the link :) Well, from what i read nothing is about removing the HDD. It's a shame.. Thanks for your help anyways :)
