Can you replace your laptop display with a G-Sync

Can you replace your laptop display with a G-Sync ?
Laptop has GTX1070

Highly unlikely... Unless you strap a GSync monitor to your laptop

The laptop itself didn't have g-sync but does support g-sync(GTX1070), if I did replace the display with for example the asus ROG GL502VM would G-Sync be functional in this laptop ?
