[SOLVED] Can you run a FireWire pci card and a NVIDIA graphics card at the same time?

I just added a NVIDIA card into my system. I use this for a project studio and have a FireWire card in my PCI slot that was working fine before i added the GFX card. I’m wondering if the gfx card is stopping my computer from recognizing the FW card because it took control of audio and video?

I don't know of a reason your card shouldn't work. Since you have two PCI slots you might try the other one. The memory mapping and other things is different with the two slots.

Did you have to make any BIOS changes to get the NVIDIA card to work ?

What motherboard, and what slot is the firewire card in ?

Tbh i havent updated the bios...its an older computer but new... the computer shop where i was living had some prebuilts they did and at the time i was looking for a system that would run my older equipment so i grabbed it up...

I didn’t it worked great after i installed the drivers for it....and the FireWire was working before i installed that...

Im going to update the bios and see if that sorts out the problem and if that doesn’t work I’ll try the other pci slot
