I am not an expert with networking, but i was wondering if you can set up 2 routers with a modem.
I want to know how and explained specifically since i am not used to networking.

You could if your ISP is willing to provide a unique public IP for each router's WAN. But most ppl are only allocated ONE public IP for their consumer class account.

What you haven’t explained is WHY you’re interested. There’s no point going into details if we don’t even know the purpose, or whether having multiple public IPs would solve your problem (whatever that may be).

I want to know the same thing, my reason is to be able to shut down the wifi that our 6 children use after 10pm so that they aren't gaming or surfing the web on a school night, but leaving our wifi running for while I may be working late in the office, or watching netflix before going to bed.
