So, I bought a gtx 560 ti two years ago, its not cutting it anymore. The solution: Buy another. I have never had 2 gpu's before. The problem is my 560 ti is no longer sold where I want to buy from.

Current gpu: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127616

Wanted gpu: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130720

Motherboard: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130583

My question is: Will those 2 cards work properly together? If not, any recommendations for cards that do? Also, will my motherboard support sli?

Thank you, all help is appreciated.

Edit: broken links.

Solution
Looking at the mobo I cant see any reason why it wouldn't support SLI, it has dual PCI-2 8x slots which is enough for Nvidia's SLI certification.
Though MSI have been criticized with the improper labeling of PCI-E ports before (Z77A-GD45, they claimed dual 16x slots while in reality one of the slots was only 8x electrically).

I assume MSI are advertising CrossfireX capability to support the assumption it can support four cards, which it technically can but you wouldnt ant to try it.
Aslong as the gpu and memory is the same, the brand shouldn't make a difference.
If the memory speed is mismatched or the memory size is different then the card with the lower/slower memory spec will lock down and dictate the overall spec for the SLI setup.

I already have a bridge from a different pc. Thank you for the help

Solution

Thank you, I have already purchased the card and the sli bridge, I will let everyone know for future reference if it works or not.

So? How'd it work out?

Sorry to bring up an old thread, but i have a question similar to the one posted in this forum. My question is, will a ASUS GTX 650 TI Boost and a MSI GTX 650 TI Boost, work in SLI?

Here are links to both cards I am referencing

MSI
http://www.msi.com/product/vga/N650Ti_TF_2GD5OC_BE.html#hero-specification

ASUS
http://www.asus.com/Graphics_Cards/GTX650TIBDC2OC2GD5/specifications/

So far im pretty sure they will run SLI together, but i just want to be sure.

Thanks in advance
