Can you still keep good temps in a really small case?

So my current build is this:


AsRock H97 Pro4 w/ 8GB DDR3 RAM
GTX 1080 Windforce OC
Intel - Core i5-4590 3.3GHz Quad-Core Processor
**NZXT Phantom Case
CRYORIG H7 CPU Cooler
Seagate - Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive

My temps on this are very good. NZXT Phatom case is large and weighs 25 lbs though...

*** but I would need to get another cooler... any recomendations?

I'm wondering if even though it will be more cramped in the case if you think my temps could still stay low with another cooler in the new case? Any recomendations?

It's a shame because I'm really wanting a smaller case this time around but I love my CYRORIG H7...

Depends how the case was designed.

There are itx cases with excellent airflow like the Nano S, or ones that don't offer much airflow like the silverstone HTPC raven cases. Preferably you should grab a case with good airflow since your not using a blower style card.

Would it be dangerous to run a gaming rig in a Silverstone case like this?

Could I switch coolers to a more powerful one that would fit it that case? Or if I get that case will I no question be sacrificing a lot on temps?

long gpus seems to fit fine while having enough fresh air, no worries here

It wouldn't be dangerous, just it would run warmer, which isn't that big of a deal, you only will loose around 3% in FPS cause of how GPU boost works with temps.

As for the CPU cooler, yeah try going with a 120mm AIO as said above.

good fans, and good cable management. with that you should be fine using any small case that is at all well designed
