My 9 year old Dell XPS One 2720 is clearly near the end of life. I run into minor inconveniences and problems every day. The most intensive task I use it for is editing photos (many 40+ mb) in Photoshop and Lightroom. Photoshop takes a full couple of minutes to load, sometimes freezes, and gives me notices that my graphics card is not up to snuff. It was a great computer when I bought it (i74770s, 16 mb ram, intel hd graphics 4600, and 2 tb hard disk). I really love this computer. It's the best one I've ever owned. I want an all-in-one or a mini computer and monitor. I need 2 tb of disk space (since my internet connection isn't good enough to depend on the cloud).

You folks understand this stuff like I understood it back in the early 1990s! Can you suggest a worthy replacement for this computer?

Thanks.

I'm in the US. The XPS 2720, as an all in one, had a resolution of 2,560-by-1,440.

Whether it's an all-in-one or a mini and monitor, I'd like to spend up to $2,000, but honestly if it's a really good build that has a chance of lasting me 9 years, I'd go as high as $2,500.

I can't find an all in one with more than 16GB of RAM. 32GB would suit you much better.

Or here.

Why you insist on All-in-One? As you already see - very good display becomes eWaste because of the rest of the system.

Check whether you can get that XPS to work as a monitor only, and look for
ordinary" desktop. You'll save good amount doing that.
