Probably a stupid question but I don't know much about laptops and i just want to improve my laptop as i want a motherboard with a dedicated gpu. I do not have enough money for a new laptop so that's why I am asking. The motherboard looks the same and so does the port layout but i know that wont mean it would work with my computer. So if anyone knows if this works then I'd like to know.

It's best you stick to the board that comes with the laptop. Often times another board might look like it'll drop in but the ports, screws and cooler placements will impeded that progress. A word of advice, often when you have low funds, don't risk it and either save the money for a new laptop or run the laptop in a way that you're not making it croak.

ok thanks, it's just that it has a celeron and its really running things slowly, i might just get an ssd to improve speeds as much as possible.

another reason i was gonna replace it is because of water damage and i've replaced the keyboard and some of the keys still dont work.
