I recently dropped my Samsung LC32JG52QQUXEN monitor when going down the stairs. It was damaged on the left hand side of the screen where it hit one of the stairs. For about 4 inches the screen is broken and I was forced with the reality that I was going to have to buy a new monitor. However is it possible to turn off the damaged side of the screen when using my computer and still use the monitor as a portrait display for example? Or do these broken parts of the screen pose a electrical hazard?
