Can you unlock the bootlaoder of a non eligible Moto g?

Hey, I just wanted to root my phone (XT1032 Android 4.4.4. Moto G 1st gen) but it turns out it isn't eligible, is it possible to punch in some random key and unlock the bootloader? Thanks!

EDIT: I need to unlock the bootloader first before I root, isn't that how this works? I first posted this from mobile for some reason it decided to change the category to windows 8, sorry about that.

What do you mean it is inelligible? Find a root package for your model phone. What model is your phone?

I don't know about other phones, but for the Moto G you need to unlock the bootloader and then use the rooting software to root your phone. I tried unlocking my bootloader but after supplying the site with my phones specific info it said it was inelligible to be unlocked.
