Can I update my shader model on my windows xp I just got at arma2 and it says I can't play it with shader model 2

I am kinda short on money becuase I am just starting college and my school doesn't give us a computer i would if I had the money to buy a new os

You must purchase a new graphics card. Unless you have a laptop, in that case, there's not much you can do.

It depends on a couple things. Power supply unit to match the voltage for the graphics card, you're trying to run arma2 that's a fairly demanding game especially with that dayz mod thing is un-optomized as it can get. If your moba even has room for it. How old is this pc sounds old really old xp is old. You need a newer o.s. for one, though arma2 is an old game so you may not. The case how big is it you're gonna have to know the dimensions and make a purchase off that. Doesn't matter how much money you have if you don't have a big enough case. Start looking up some videos on how to assemble a pc case etc. From the sounds of it, it seems you're gonna have to build a brand new pc. Maybe salvage the case? This is a desktop computer and not a laptop right?
