Question Can you use a Display port on GPU for second Monitor?

I watched some videos and everytime I see them using a basic HDMI or VGI with Display port cable coming from main monitor. So the question is my main monitor uses Display port and I was wondering can I hook up my second monitor on the other Display port on my GPU? So both monitors will be running to the GPU both from a Display port cable.

I use my pc for gaming. Thanks !

What GPU do you have?

Multiple monitors from 1 GPU is a very normal thing. I have 3, each with its own cable.

I run a RTX 2060 Super by ASUS. Bought it few years ago when I built my PC I’ve upgraded few things since.

And it’s ok to use the other display port on my GPU yeah? Rather use that instead of the HDMI

I run a RTX 2060 Super by ASUS. Bought it few years ago when I built my PC I’ve upgraded few things since.

That has multiple ports on the back for monitors. All you need is the relevant cables.

You can use whatever combination you want.

I have three monitors, two DP and one HDMI, no issues.
