I recently built my first ITX desktop: R5 3600, Aorus B550i AX, NZXT h210i, ect. So a fairly modern system.
Since i've got no desktop GPU (i'm waiting for the RTX 3080) and that the R5 3600 doesn't have an integrated GPU like Intel CPUs, is it possible to use my laptop graphics (GTX 1060) in any way?
My laptop has a HDMI, miniDP and thunderbolt 3 ports.
I also have a thunderbolt to DP cable. If i plug it from my laptop to my desktop, then use a normal DP from my motherboard IO to my monitor, might it work?

your desktop won´t even boot without a GPU installed/detected

the cable connections will fit, but won´t get you an image
I know that, that's why i wondered if it would boot and display something if i somehow linked my laptop graphics to my desktop :(
