I am a first time builder, today I received all my parts and decided to do a test outside of my case.

I installed the ram cards in slots 2/4 (as it says in my manual). I properly aligned the CPU and installed the stock heat sink/fan with thermal paste. I correctly hooked up the PSU and the necessary wires.

The motherboard lights up as it should, the CPU fan powers on and the debug LED runs through a bunch of numbers/letters and then finally stays between 51-53 (which I'm assuming is reading the CPU temperature as it is should).

But I have the motherboard connected to my monitor via HDMI, however nothing appears on my monitor. It always says "no signal."

Now I have also hooked up my case fans and the front panel to my motherboard and these work and receive power. My DVD drive has been hooked up and receives power. I have hooked up my HDD and I can hear it spinning.

I have no idea what to do or how to troubleshoot any further.

Please help me out!
Thank You.

Does the monitor have HDMI as well, or are you using an adapter for it?

And is there a sticker on the mobo or box to say what BIOS is on it now?? It needs 1.3

@Paul NZ the monitor supports HDMI. I cannot find a sticker to say what BIOS is on it now.

@tiny voices the motherboard only has 2 HDMI plugs and a display port. my monitor only supports HDMI.
