I have Medialink Wireless-N and I have been trying to access the router settings menu by using http://192.168.0.1/ on my desktop which is wired. But every time, I just get "This webpage is not available ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT." But when I try it with my laptop wireless, it works fine. They both use Windows 8.1 and my default gateway is 192.168.0.1. How would I go about fixing this?

I assume you've tried all four ports on the router & a different ethernet cable as well as resetting the router & network card in device manager. If so, the next thing I'd try is a totally different browser than what you've been using & make sure all cookies are cleared (so you're not just looking at a stored error message).

Update the driver for the network card or reinstall the driver if it's current.

If no joy there, download & flash the firmware on the router- even if it's current.

I know how irritating network issues can be- I have an issue posted here myself- lol.

Good luck
