cannot be used available in d-sub signal only

Hi, I had vga d-sub to dvi connector so I have bought a new connector this: https://i4.alza.cz/ImgW.ashx?fd=f3&cd=WD955a2&i=1.jpg dvi to dvi. When I go to monitor´s settings and want to change something it says: cannot be used available in d-sub signal only.

My specs: monitor: LG2243T
gtx 760, core i7 4771, 2tb hdd, MSI B85-G43 gaming.

The GTX 760 has One Dual Link DVI-I, One Dual Link DVI-D, One HDMI, One DisplayPortStandard Display Connectors

The Monitor has DVI-D, HDMI and D-Sub inputs.
Why not use DVI-D to DVI-D? or HDMI to HDMI?
But DVI to VGA adapter to VGA/D-Sub port should work too. But you have to make sure you're using the DVI-I port not the DVI-D port.

Yes I have DVI-D to DVI-D. When I press menu on my monitor and want to change something I cant only colour so what about nvidia control panel? Because this is digital now, I had before analog.

You can change colour on nVidia Panel. What else do you want to change? You can also use Control Panel, Display
