Question Cannot boot from any media in my laptop

I cannot boot in my laptop because there is no os installed but when i tried to install os from dvd or usb drive but it is unable to read the media..in the boot menu only ubuntu is showing and no other media are shown. Please help me I tried resetting the bios by removing the cmos battery but the bios didn't reset. Previously I installed ubuntu 18.04.
