Cannot boot from CD - Code 5

Solution
I can happily announce, that install went well and I'm currently installing drivers and programs to get back on gaming and stuffs. Too bad I cant pick my own message as solution but there it is. I'm happy.
Hey,

At this point there are still plenty of options to get windows on there:

1. you can download the windows iso from microsoft and burn it on another pc and try to boot from it. if it still comes up with the same error message, you will need to replace your optical drive.

2. you can copy the files on the windows install dvd/iso to the root of an external drive. use the bios boot menu to boot from the external drive and the windows installer should start up. if it doesnt work from a usb3 port, use a usb2 port.

Report back here with results.

Hey again, sorry for delay, it took me some time to get my hands on 4GB USB. (I've been doing fine with 2GB till now 😀 )

It gives me this:
"Reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key"

Boot order is fine, sata is set to ahci, and basically what bios settings came to my mind I checked to be fine.
Also I'm 99,5% sure all gear is functional.

there is a bios boot menu you can enter at POST. typically tapping a specific key between f8 and f12.

to see what the key is exactly you will want to disable the boot logo in bios and try your best to catch a glimpse of the magic key at the bottom of the screen during POST.

try the various options there to find your bootable device if device names are not listed.

this is, of course, assuming you used an iso from the microsoft website and their 'usb download tool' to make the device bootable. or did you copy files from the root of the iso to the root of the flash disk? it is difficult to tell whether indirect sources are bootable or not.

can you also confirm what boot order you are using? does the usb device show up in bios, and if so under what (hdd/dvd/etc)?

I DIIIID IIIIT!

After almost three weeks of trololo pain in the ass bugging piece of sh*tt*ng, my Win 7 is now installing.

And here is how, because I had to mix couple of solutions:

I put Win 7 media to USB.
Then I also needed Ultimate boot cd, also on USB

Booted to UBCD, --> boot management --> PLoP boot manager --> found my Win 7 USB and booted it.

Hopefully this is the end for this problem, at least for me.

Thanks to everyone here who sticked with me through this problem, I'll come back if something goes wrong, but now its installing nicely. Thank you
