cannot boot or enter bios setup....

Hi Guys,

My computer died on me suddenly and i have tried almost everyhting
i know. Right now i cannot boot from a boot floppy and i cannot even
enter the bios. HP told me to remove the CMOS battery for some time
and plug it back. I did still no luck. I have tried it disconnecting
all the peripherals still no luck. It looks like my motherboard is
fried but i am not sure. Any Ideas?

I have a HP Pavilion xt 915, intel celeron, 1.1 ghz, windows xp.

Not sure about this mainboard, but some boards also have a 'reset-jumper
or -switch' which you might need to set, after you take out the battery and
then plug everything back in...?
