So I have had my SSD with Windows on it for a while but original had Windows on my HDD. I still have Windows on my HDD and just booted to my SSD version of Windows. It has worked mostly fine but I have encountered similar problems previously. Now suddenly when I turned my PC on it booted to the HDD, so I restarted and went into my boot menu, chose the SSD, and booted like that. It said there was a problem with Windows. I don't want to have to reinstall Windows for the umpteenth time, so any ideas?

I should also mention when I boot to the hard drive, I can see the SSD from the file explorer, and access its file fine (and there is a Windows folder)

Hey there, Tyger.

Since there could be a possible issue with the SSD, I'd recommend that you backup any important data which you might have written on it, just to be on the safe side. After that go ahead and download an SSD diagnostic tool and test it for errors. You could also check its manufacturer's website for available firmware updates.
Try the SSD with a different SATA port and different cables, to see if the same thing happens.

Hope that helps. Please let me know how everything goes.
