On my home network, one computer, a Windows 10 notebook (upgraded from Windows 7 sometime back and working OK until now),
both of the browsers (Edge and Firefox) cannot access
www.google.com or
www.yahoo.com .

The error message from browsers are ..
Edge ".. we can't reach this page"
Firefox "Firefox can't find the server at www.google.com"

The same Home network has two other Windows (one Vista & another Windows 10) notebooks running with no internet access issues.

On the problematic notebook, when I
ping google.com, I get the message "Ping request could not find the host google.com. Please check the name and try again",
when I
ping 68.87.91.199, I get "Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 4, Lost = 0"
when I
ping 8.8.8.8, I get "Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 4, Lost = 0".

The system tray shows that wifi is OK "SSID .. Internet access"
Checking this connections properties for TCP/Ipv4 configuration yields ..
"Obtain the IP address automatically" and
"Obtain DNS server address automatically"
Similar results for TCP/IPv6 configurations also.

I had earlier "reset" this notebook's Window 10 installation,
but with no improvement in internet access.

Appreciate any advice on how to resolve this issue.

Thanking you in advance.

Thank you for your input ...

The system date and time is correct.
I had earlier "Reset" the Window 10, while keep other files ... basically reinstalling Windows 10.
The system tray indicates "Internet access".
After this .. Reset .. would I still need to uninstall and reinstall the drivers?

Thanks again

Thank you for your response.

The DNS servers have been set on the Home router as
8.8.8.8 and
8.8.4.4 .

So all notebooks are accessing the same DNS.
As mentioned, out of three notebooks, two are accessing the internet fine with one problematical.

Thank you

yes please do that once. i guess you have tried almost everything and it will not be a long process to check this one,

Thanks again

I have uninstalled the driver and downloaded & installed an updated driver ...
Still the same system problems were seen.

Further inputs ...

Reading other threads and what worked for others, I have tried ...
1. netsh winsock reset
2. netsh int ip reset c:\resetlog.txt
3. ipconfig/release
4. ipconfig/flushdns
5. ipconfig/renew
6. Malwarebytes scan (although Windows had been reset)

Still the problem did not go away.
