Question Cannot burn recently purchased Blu Ray disk.

I have had my blu ray player for some time now an used it mostly for watching blu rays. i wanted to burn some blu ray disks that i recently purchased but it says that they are not writable. it cant be my blu ray drive not being able to burn because i have burned some dvds in the past.
If anybody knows anything about this please let me know.

what is the exact brand/model of the BD drive you bought? perhaps you got the wrong kind of disks? what is the exact brand/type of writable media did you buy?
