Hey folks, have had my Sony Bravia TV for about 10 months now, I believe I have a W85B 60 inch 3D LED TV, however I'm not 100% that this is the correct model.
The problem I am having is that no matter which cable or PC I use, There is simply no signal received on the TV. I am really at a loss and have been searching around the web without much luck as to any possible fix or even a reason as to why it doesn't work as my TV itself says in the IManual that it can and should connect via HDMI to PC's.
I have for months now been attempting to connect ANY of my computers in the house to display via HDMI to no avail. I know the HDMI ports are working as I currently use the and have tested the ports with both a Blu-Ray player and an XBOX 360, so it is not at fault of the cable or the HDMI port itself.
It has not worked with two separate Dell Inspiron model laptops nor my custom built PC from 2014 using either the Motherboard or the graphics cards HDMI port.

Any help, tips or solutions would be greatly appreciated and I will try to give any more information
if needed.
Thanks.

Hello,

Have you tried manually creating a PC profile for one of those HDMI ports? Sometimes TV's default to A/V devices, and don't want to accept PC's. Also, if you don't have any programs saved, etc. Then I recommend restoring it to factory default, though keep in mind that everything that you've saved, will be lost and you have to start over.

All the best!

Hey there Suzuki, thanks for the quick reply!
I have not tried creating a manual PC profile for a HDMI port and have never heard of nor seen this recommended. I'm not sure as to what I would have to do to create a PC profile for a HDMI port. I have updated the TV's software/firmware through its internet updating ability and have also updated and checked all the HDMI drivers on the 3 PC's I have tried. Any idea as to how I would go about creating a PC profile for a HDMI port on my TV?

Hey there again,
I've just had a play around with this and there doesn't seem to be a device list as such however there is a sync menu available but the downside this is only for sony sync capable devices, and does not detect the laptop currently connected via HDMI. I have a sneaking suspicion that the TV DOESN'T want to connect because this is not a sony device and it may be it only wants tp cpmmect tp spmy devices.

Hello,

Yes what that is HDMI-CEC, it syncs products with the TV. But that's not it. If I were you I would call Sony and ask if there's something wrong with the TV, or if there's something you missed. I'm not familiar with this type of problem, as everything should work automatically, meaning you just select the correct input and you'll have a picture.

All the best!

Thanks for your help, I'll leave this question as unsolved just incase anyone else has some key input im missing.
Thanks.
