Cannot connect to Ethernet but Wireless still works

I recently began having this problem where I can't connect to the internet via Ethernet cable and only wirelessly. I saw other threads where they had somewhat the same problem but their connection showed up as "Limited". Mine doesn't even acknowledge the Ethernet cable and says "Network Cable Unplugged" so I can't even use my Troubleshooter. I tried getting a new Ethernet cable but that didn't fix it. There are no lights on my computer's Ethernet port but the modem's Ethernet ports have all the lights on like this: http://

That looks lieke the problem is on your routes side, because the lights should only lit on used ports with cables plugged in. It may help to unplug the router for two minutes to reset it.

It was the router I talked to my ISP went and got a new one and everything works fine now thank you.
