Hi there,

I have recently been restoring my old Windows 7 laptop that crashed a few years ago and has been sitting around uselessly. By "restore", I mean my old hard drive had to be completely erased and the laptop itself was booted from a usb drive (.iso file) with new O.S on it.
**FYI the new O.S. is also a Windows 10 now

The problem is the new O.S. didn't come with all of it's drivers, including PCI simple communications driver which I'm guessing has to do with why I can't connect to the internet. The laptop sees the networks available and "connects" upon entering your password. But after you enter your password a yellow triangle appears letting you know you do NOT have internet access (even though it sees your network). I've also tried ethernet as well, but I still can't get internet.

I've downloaded a few drivers offline and extracted them to my laptop, but I'm still not having any luck. My question is, where do I begin in order to detect the missing drivers from my laptop, and how do I go about getting them on there?

Intel Pentium CPU B940 2.00 GHz
RAM: 4.00 GHz
System type: 65 bit O.S. x64-based processor
Windows 10 pro

Did you use windows upgrade?
The problem is not of the drivers if you have installed them correctly
Are you able to surf the net using the same internet connection on another device?
