Cannot connect to Internet using ethernet.

So, today I built my first computer with the help of some friends who have experience in building computers. Everything seems to be working except I cannot connect to the Internet via ethernet. I was wonderIMG if anyone could help me out.

Ya, I've had the problem too. Try reloading the ethernet adapter driver. Get it from the motherboard manufacturer's web site rather than use the one on the driver disk.
